Pattye's Mission Statement
"To create and perform high quality, melodic and tasteful music for an audience seeking music to soothe the needs of the heart and spirit".
Pattye has been blessed with a soothing and textured voice. Her fertile gospel background has helped her cultivate a unique sound that's rich, mellow, sensitive and cultured - all her own. As an emerging vocalist, Pattye has worked with notables including Ervin "Magic" Johnson, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Trenora Parker & the LA Cathedral Choir, noted lyricist - Margaret Pleasant-Douroux, singer / songwriter - Wil Wheaton, Jr., Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan, legendary songstress - Barbara Bonnie-Gillespie and the Athletes and Entertainers For Kids Foundation.
Born in Detroit, MI and raised in Los Angeles, Pattye was initially attracted to music through participating in church choral groups. To develop her skills, she studied music at Palisades High School and at the University of Southern California. Ms. Anderson has honed her craft and continues technique and theory studies to enhance her performances. Pattye's interpretive bilingual performances are an asset to her program. She delivers her vocal gifts in the community, singing for festive occasions, fund raisers and rallies, for the sick, to the bereaved and to the incarcerated.
In addition to live performances, Ms. Anderson also seeks original material to record and perform, voice over / spoken voice work, and character commercial voice work. Ms. Anderson's talent is the finishing touch any good songwriter needs to complete his or her project.
Pattye's favorite vocalists include: Barbara Bonnie-Gillespie, Yolanda Adams, Sandi Patti, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Sarah Vaughn, and Whitney Houston. Music genres including contemporary and traditional gospel, reggae, R&B, jazz standards, and Broadway showtunes are among Ms. Anderson's favorites.
